Texture in Grey (fur study)
An extreme close-up abstract of soft grey animal fur, rendered in moody black-and-white so that the whorls and highlights become pure texture. A study in form and light rather than subject — the kind of frame that rewards a second look. Fun fact: Macro and abstract photography like this exploits a quirk of our brains: strip away context and the eye starts reading patterns as landscapes, so a patch of fur can suddenly look like windswept dunes or ocean swell.
