Damselfly's Meal

A slender yellow-green damselfly perches on a blade of grass, prey clamped in its jaws, against a rich dark-green backdrop. Every filament of its gossamer wings is caught in crisp detail. Fun fact: Damselflies are fierce aerial hunters despite their delicate looks, and unlike their dragonfly cousins they fold their wings neatly along the body at rest — the easiest way to tell the two apart.
