Heron in Golden Water

The same species in a very different mood: a grey heron stands full-length in shallow, golden-lit water, mirrored beneath, a grassy bank behind. Stately and serene. Fun fact: Grey herons are among the most widespread herons on Earth, found from Ireland to Japan, and they'll eat almost anything they can swallow — fish, frogs, rats, even small birds.
